Dear Multi-Nationals: We're Sorry!
Dear Multi-Nationals,
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for a number of recent events in my insignificant little homeland Belgium, located conveniently in the center of Europe.
We fully realize the extent of the damages our economic system has experienced and the loss of international confidence our nation has endured.
This is what our country's stock market index, the BEL20 looked like on the 15th of December, 2014.
Union activists had organized a nation-wide strike to protest against necessary repairs to a badly broken economical system, resulting in a loss of economical revenue estimated over 850 million Euros. The Port of Antwerp, the second largest port of Europe, has been shut down for several days this year and has suffered greatly because of this.
In addition to unions for regular workers, unions for police have also been protesting by organizing large traffic checkpoints on busy roads during rush hour, resulting in more than 350 kilometers of intentionally created traffic jams. Doing this shortly after a national strike naturally did not help the missed transportation and production deadlines.
However, there is a need to express that not everybody feels like this. Not every Belgian citizen is looking to go full hooligan because the globalized economy is shifting and we are basically out of Free Money.
There are people still out there working and fighting for a future that holds more then just licking our wounds and thinking back about the good old days when we imported low-cost foreign laborers.
Some of the most valuable people in my team are guys that work in the Antwerp harbor, these guys wouldn't dream of making an idiot of themselves by dressing up like a brightly colored army of fags and blocking regular citizens from getting to their places of business.
These are the guys that work hard all day in their day jobs and work just as hard at night on their own personal projects. They are the people I can count on, the people our country can count on and the people that deserve support and respect.
Please do not take the images of half naked beer-bellied retards dancing around burning tires in the street throwing firecrackers as a stereotype of our people!
Some of us understand how globalized economics work, some of us realize what has to happen and mostly, some of us are working towards a better future regardless of what the ignorant masses are doing!
